Miranda left me two years ago, taking our two young daughters with her. She chose to leave our steady, though imperfect, life for a richer man, seeking a better life. Before she left, things started to feel different. She spent more time on her phone and on social media, posting pictures with people I didn’t know. She seemed distant, often ignoring the girls when they wanted to play. Then, two years later, I saw her on Instagram. She was on a yacht with a man named Marco, looking happy and carefree. The life I thought she had left behind was still very much alive.
